Here are our answers to the most frequently asked questions about our fairylights and service.

Why should I use your fairy light backdrop?
We do not use inferior filiment fairy lights in our fairy light backdrop systems. We use quality draping so your LED backdrop will look amazing. Our fairy lights have the latest LED technology and our LED fairy lights are certified and compliant to AS/NZ 4417.1-IP44 rated. We don't use lightweight backdrop supports that are prone to falling over and we always use power protection.
Why would you compromise and use anything else?

Can I DIY and save money?
Yes. We hire our LED fairy light backdrop system components seperately.

Can I just hire the fairy lights and do my own thing?
Yes. Of course.

Where are you located and what are your hours?
Fairy Lights Direct is based central Auckland CBD and is a subsidiary of www.partyhire.co.nzOur showroom is on the North Shore in Northcote, Auckland. We are on call 7 days phone: 09-303-2424 and our showroom is open by appointment.

How does the hire work?
Just like any other hire item you will be asked to sign a general hire agreement. We ask for one proof of indentity (drivers licence is fine). We will charge a small bond to cover minor damage or late return. You are liable to make good any damage at replacement cost if damaged or lost whilst on hire to you.

Are your fairy lights and rigging insured?
Not whilst it is in your care. You need to arrange insurance for loss or damage or check that it is covered by your 'House and Contents' insurance policy.

What if I can't put the system together when I get to the venue?
Although we provide a simplen step to step guide you can always phone us.

Where's your pick up locations?
North Shore or Auckland CBD. We can arrange whichever location suits you.

Can you do the whole thing for me?
Yes. We can deliver, set up and pack down after your event.

What else do you hire or do? I need . . .
Fairy Lights Direct is a subsidiary of www.partyhire.co.nz We are event decorators specialising in helium balloon decorations and venue dressing. We also have a hire department for hard to find wedding items (beach and garden weddings). We hire designer centrepieces for corporate events and generally have lots of cool decorating and themed items for hire!

Can I use your backdrop support system for just material?
Yes. Our drapery backdrop system consists of telescopic upright poles and drapery cross bars. They are customised to hold drapery (backdrop curtains) as well as a lighting system if required. Ideal for any kind of backdrop for a stage, head table or screening off an area in a venue. Ideal for themed parties where you want to theme an area.
